My workshop is located in my house which is located in the Derwent Valley Mills world heritage site by the river Derwent. Built in 1794 as the home of a manager of a hat factory which made hats for the Crimean war it was part of the Nightingale estate and Florence resided in her uncles house in the next village. It is a beautiful wooded part of Derbyshire and ideally suited for the work of a luthier and for visiting musicians. I have lived and worked here since 1994.
