Stolen Violin Dec 2022 by Emil Hjorth & Sons
Violin Stolen in Copenhagen
Description:
The violin is built by Emil Hjorth & Sons - inside the violin it says “Under ledelse af Emil Hjorth & Sønner København 1930”. The body is dark red/orange and the neck and other details are black. It has a repaired crack in the wood downwards from the left f-hole. The bridge is marked “Erik Hoffmann” (a Danish violin maker).
It was in a black Gewa case which also contained two bows - one of them by Albert Nürnberger. That same bow has once been broken at the tip and therefore has a visible reparation. The bow is also featured in the pictures but unfortunately I don’t have better pictures of it.
